Jasper Went to the Rainbow Bridge

Well.

Hello once again.

It has been almost a YEAR since I posted;

I can't believe how time flies!

So much has happened.

Unfortunately, we lost Jack to a bad

stomach virus.

We miss him so much.

After that, I did not feel like posting any more.

I am so sorry for just disappearing.

Okay.....just so you will all know....my Momma has been trying to post for about
4 days.... (since Monday---that is why this post has Monday's date, but this is actully being published on FRIDAY, the 27th) and blogger was not cooperating!!!
She finally got these photos uploaded and saved as "draft".
Now, hopefully, blogger will cooperate and allow it to be published. *sigh*

Some more freaky weather here. We had a tornado (that was scawwie) and
now, it is COLD again! The tornado damaged several houses in town, but no dogs
(or hoomans) were hurt.

The big news is.....I got a package from across the world!!! From Boy & Baby
in Singapore! It is a nice card and a corn cob chew toy....and as you can see
by the photo, I LOVE it!!!
Thank you Boy & Baby!!!

I have found a new sleeping place....the arm

Jack got a new hoodie jacket....he really
thinks he is KEWL. It is cute, huh?

What's Up With That???

It has been TWO weeks since Momma got on this dang computer and updated
our blog!!!
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????? Sheeshhhh.
Jack and I apologize.....on her behalf.
Momma has been busy with Sissy's birthday stuff.....(she turned 15) and
then she was on a trip (withOUT us!!!) at the Illinois River in Oklahoma for
a few days....and then my Sissy got sick and she was taking care of her.
Soooooo......I guess we can forgive her.......this time!
We have missed all of you so much.....and we are taking some time today
to get caught up on all of your blogs.....I know we have missed so much.
Thanks for being patient with us and thank you all so MUCH for the warm
Adoption Day wishes for me!!! All of you are so sweet and I've missed you
all so much!!!
I'll post more on all the birthday stuff later.

Okay.
I am cOnFuSeD!!
For the past few mornings, it has been COLD outside;
and right now....it is COLD and raining...and the wind
is howling.
What happened to Spring???
Where did it go?
Sheesh.....I am glad that Momma has not taken me
to the groomer for my Spring cut yet!
Poor Jack has been snuggling under any blanket
he can find. His fur is much shorter than mine.
I won't let him snuggle up to me
just yet (I need more time)....but he can wriggle
down into his fuzzy bed with his blankie and stay
very warm.
Momma has only snapped a few photos of us
recently. So, I thought I'd post them tonight
before going upstairs to bed.
Ohhh yeah....also....I have "officially"
added Jack's name to our blog tonight.

Jack was just starting a good shake in this
photo; I'm just watching there in the background.

Here we both are....sitting on Sissy. Tee hee,
we love to sit on her when she is on the couch.

I posted this photo....just so everyone knows.....that
I am still the KING of this blog....and deserve
all the admiration from everyone.

Jack: Outdoor Adventure

Jack is coming out of his shell more and more, but
he is still not comfortable enough to post on our
blog. So, I am posting for him.....cuz that is the
kind of great brother that I am!
Over the weekend, we went on a picnic in
the park....and Momma snapped these photos.

After one pose, I started eating grass.

End of the weekend

Hellowwww my pups!
I hope you don't mind me letting Momma use my blog
to update about her niece. I did not mind at all, but I am
glad she is back now and focusing on US again!!! Tee hee.
Jack is starting to open up a bit, finally. He even played with
one of my toys the other night, but when me & Momma got on the
floor to play with him....he went back to his bed. So, for now....we will
let him play by himself. He also went over to the neighbor dog, Jackson
the Beagle, and interacted with him a little bit when we went on our
walkies one day. I am proud of him; he is getting better.

Jack stays in his bed a lot, but I go over to check
on him a lot.

He is a cute lil' fella though!

I like to sit on the couch above him,
to keep my eye on him.

Both Crystal and Baby Brayson are doing fine. He is in neonatal intensive
care....as he only weighs 3lbs. 14oz.

Well, I am the oldest by one year.

Jack is 7 years old.

This is Jack's favorite place to sit. For some reason, he likes to go up

to about the 4th or 5th step on our stairs and sit. He is so funny!

Ahemmm....Announcement Please

Well, as you know from my previous post, Momma "almost" got to adopt a new playmate for me.
But, it did not become reality.
Well, something about that happening must have got the desire burning in my Momma for me to have a new sibling, because guess what????
We have adopted a new poodle-brother for me!!!
Introducing..........
Jack, the white poodle.
He is much smaller than me, Momma says he only weighs 8 pounds (I weigh 12 pounds).
He is very timid.
His story is sad.
He was a puppy mill worker in Oklahoma most of his life. He stayed in cages most of the time, never
getting any lovin' or attention.....except to be bred. When the puppy mill owner decided he
was too old to work, he took him to the vet to be euthanized (Momma told me what that word means and I covered my ears!!).
Well, instead of doing that, the Vet called Pryor Animal League (P.A.L.) in Pryor, Oklahoma and a sweet lady came and got Jack and took him into her foster home! (I wanna give that sweet lady some slobbery kisses.)
Well, Momma saw Jack's photo on the same website where she saw mine (Petfinder) and called the lady and they agreed to meet so Momma and Sissy could meet Jack. They drove a long way, 2.5 hours, (like they did with me!) to meet Jack. Apparently, it was love at first sight, because they brought him home that night! Because he is very timid, I mostly just ignore him right now, but he does not bother me....except to smell my butt occasionally. tee hee Arf!
So.....now this blog will be about OUR adventures: Jasper & Jack! :o)

P.S This is Cynthia: please keep my 24 year old niece in your prayers...she is 7 months pregnant with her and her husband's first baby... and was rushed to the emergency room this morning. She was having hard contractions and dilated
to 2 cm. We are very worried about her and the unborn baby. They are keeping her in the hosptial and trying to stop the labor from progressing. Thank you! Cyn.

Mystery Solved and the Peeople Park

Okay everyone.....the mystery of the strange doggie scent has been solved.
You are looking at a photo of the guilty dog.
She wandered up around my Momma's office and seemed to be homeless.
Of course, Momma fell instantly in love with her and wanted to bring her
home. (I really would not have minded, she IS a cutie pie!)
Momma hugged and loved on her during her lunch break from work., and
that is how the pup's scent got on Momma's clothes.
Anyway, Momma had decided to adopt her if nobody came to claim her.
But, by the end of the day, the lil' girl's owner claimed her and took
her back home!!!
Drats, I was looking forward to having a playmate.
Oh Well.
So.....now, on to the story of my weekend....and it was a FUN one.
First, I got to ride in the Jeep and go to a lot of fun places. We
went to PetsMart and Momma bought a new toy for me. While
we were there, we watched a lil' Shitzu puppy getting trained, and it
was so cute....it reminded me of Baby, Chiyo, and
Billy Boo!
After that, we went to the Peeople Park to test my new
toy. I really like that new toy!!

We went to Sissy's friend's house
to pick her up.
"Come on Nikki, lets go!"

(Momma had put my shirt on here)

Ohhh goodie, we are on our way!
"WEEEeeeeeee this wind feels so good"

There it is!!
PETSMART...yay!!

Sissy had to put this silly Harley hat on me;

This is the new toy; the name is a bit
embarrassing...considering.... I no longer have any!!!

We finally got to the Peeople Park.
"Come on Momma, get my toys
off this stump and let's play!!"

(Momma had taken my shirt off,
cuz she knows I get hot when I play)

I had so much fun playing fetch with my
Tuff Balls!! arf!

I also played with my regular tennis ball
some too.

All this running around made me thirsty!

All that drinking made me haff to pee!!

Don't my ears look funny!?! Sissy
had thrown my tennis ball in the air,
and I was jumping up to get it.

I am tired now.... I am ready to
go home.

But not before I get some more lovin'!

I slept all the way home.
(Momma had put my shirt back on me again!)

Ohh yeah,
Momma made me a new water bowl at
the pottery place she likes to go to. I like it!

Hellowwww every pup! I hope everyone is doing good on this lovely Friday!!

YAY, it's the weekend!! I love the weekends.

Weekends = more time with my family.

I just hafff to tell you what happened to me.

I was snoozing along so good, when Momma woke me up.

And what did she wake me up for??? To change my shirt.

Can ya believe that?! Well, I figured, since I am already up

I might as well play and have some fun.

So, after Momma got my "woof woof" shirt on me....we played

a quick game of tug-o-war with my toys....and a short game

of fetch.

And here is the story in photographs:

stop tickling me, Momma....tee heee arrfff"

Finally,

Some peace and quiet with my ball.

Momma thinks I have "froggy-doggy"

legs here....but I don't.

She took another photo just to

prove that I have "froggy-doggy"
legs. I don't think they look like
froggy legs, do you?

So guess what I did?

I took the camera from her and

took these photos of HER~!

P.S. This afternoon when Momma came home

from work, I did what I always do (jump up in

her lap as soon as she sits down). But, this

time was different.....she had an intoxicating

scent on her!! I could not get enough of it; I

just sniffed and sniffed her shirt and pants and

would not stop. And then, it dawned on me

what that scent was: ANOTHER DOG!!!

Why in the world did my Momma have another

dog's scent on her clothes?? Did she visit a friend's

house on her lunch break?? Did she find a doggy

outside her work building and pet it?? Did someone

at her office bring their doggy to work?? Gosh, I just

haffff to know.

Herrowww.....my Pups!

Do ya'll remember back a few posts, when I told you about the egg I found?

Well, I think I found who hatched from that egg!!!

While on one of my walkies recently, I found this little bird sitting in almost the

same exact spot as where the egg was! I sniffed it and barked at it, but it did

not move. Momma held me back so she could check to see if it was alive....and

it was.

Well, we left it alone and then, a few days later.....it showed up on our

doorstep!! It was sitting on the brick overhang right

below our doorbell. I guess he was trying to ring it so he could come inside.

Anyway, after getting some photos, Momma gently picked it up, trying not

to get her scent on it....and placed it safely in the back yard.

After doing a little research, Momma believes it is a Mourning Dove. There

are a lot of them around here and we see them in the trees and on the ground

a lot.

Here I am sniffing at the lil' fella.

He was not moving very much and did not

seem scared of us.

He can't reach the doorbell!!

What a cute lil' face!

Important Information: I Hate Cats.

Okay, there is something you need to know about me:
I hate cats.
They annoy me.
When I see one, I can't resist the urge to freakin' lose my mind!! My eyes get as big
as saucers, my fur stands on end, my nostrils flare, and I bark until I lose my voice!!
Nothing, and I do mean nothing, can stop me from barking. I do my best barking
when I see a cat.
Momma just happened to get an opportunity this weekend to snap these photos of me
barking at a stupid, orange cat that was in our back yard.
OOouhhh.....ouuuuhhh, if I had not been
leashed.....I woulda'....I woulda'....I woulda' ......well, you can imagine what I
woulda' done!

I was sitting on Momma's lap, just enjoying
the breeze blowing my fur....and then,
I SAW IT!

I immediately jumped off her lap and ran to
the end of my leash to make sure of what I
was seeing.

I had to get up on my hind legs to make sure
it was a cat.

Oh heck yeah, it IS a CAT.....the barking begins.
"Get out of here you stinkin' cat"

I was barking so fiercely that my head movements
blurred the camera!
"I said get out of here you dumb cat"

Whew....after all that barking, I had to
come inside and rest ...on my favorite
resting spot, next to Momma in the recliner.
It looks like Momma is sitting on me,
but she's not!

SEE!! haha, I am just curled right up
next to her leg!

By the way, the meanie-lawn-mower-man
cut down all my sweet clover!! Can you
believe it!?! I shoulda' barked at him!

Just look at the difference in my favorite clover now!

There is nothing left.

YAY---Finally Photos of My River Trip

Helowwww my pups.....Momma finally figured out the problem in

uploading my photos. Apparently, they were too big!

She used that fancy 'puter program to make the 50%

smaller....and they uploaded just fine! YAY.

So....without further ado.....here I am at the Arkansas River.

When we first arrived...I was in awe at all

the water and stayed back a safe distance.

Once we got to the sandy beach area, I checked

things out from my perch on this big log.

Things looked fine, so I took a nice run
up and down the beach.

The waves from boats scared me at first,

and I barked and barked at them; running

up and down the edge of the water. Momma

and Sissy thought this was so funny.

I am looking at the boat in this photo.

Then, Sissy picked up a stick and threw it

in the water....and I could not resist, I ran

to get it....but it was too far out and I

did not get it.

Then, Sissy got another stick and I grabbed it

fast, before she could throw it.

Yummers, this stick is tasty; must

have fish on it.

I am thinking of getting that first stick; see

it ....in the left hand, top corner of this pic; but

then a big fish flounced and took my attention

to the other side.

Finally, I decide to be brave, and get

that darn stick!

Here is a photo from the clover again...

I do love that clover and I am trying to

enjoy it before it gets mowed down!

How to Chew a Toy

Herowwww every pup! Jasper here. I've decided to show y'all my method
for properly chewing a toy. Observe:

First, you hold it tightly with your
paws and just lick around on it

Next, you close your eyes and really dig in!

Once you find a really tasty spot, you stay on it

rolling your eyes and concentrate on that one spot!

Then, you really get down to knawing and

chewing.....be sure to use plenty of slobber!

After all that work, I like to get a really good

stretch.

Then, I go outside for some nice, tasty clover!!

My coat of two colors.

As you can see in this photo, my coat is two different colors.
My head is more black....and my body is more brown. Momma
says it is more evident outside in the sunlight. She says it does
not matter though.....she loves me just the same! I think it makes
me unique, don't you?

I GOT A PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My package from Ms Linda (Butchy & Snickers Mom) arrived!!! I am not sure who was more excited, Momma or me. hehe
All the clothes are so KEWL and they fit perfectly. I got tired of trying them all on, but Momma was finally able to get some good photos with each piece. AND, Butchy & Snickers snuck a surprise gift in the package for me....a KEWL bandana.
After trying on all the clothes, Momma and Sissy took me to the Bark Park!!! YAY!!
What a fun-filled day....new clothes AND the Bark Park. I wore one of my new shirts and so many hoomans at the park commented on it and asked where I got it. I was the best-dressed pooch at the park!

I was napping in Sissy's room...until
Momma came in with the camera
and surrounded me with the pillows.

My Sissy's new bed is here....and I LOVE IT. Now, I am just waiting for my new

Well, there is excitement in the air. Momma got an email from Ms Linda, (Butchy and Snickers Mom) and she is already making all my clothes!! I just can not wait to get them in the mail.

More exciting news, my Sissy's new bed is being delivered on Tuesday morning. Momma will have to come home from work for a little while while they deliver it and take it upstairs. So, I get to see Momma for a while and I get to try out Sissy's new bed!! YAY!

Okay, my day started out in my Momma's bedroom (where it always begins, because that is where I sleep). Anyway, I was really in the mood to play, so Momma played with me a lot in her room....throwing my ball out her bedroom door, down the hall, and into my Sissy's room. I love playing that game!! I always run get it and bring it back for her to throw again. After playing in Momma's room, I went downstairs to sit in the window for a bit, just to check things out and make sure all was in order out there....ok ok ok, and to see if there were any cats or rabbits out there! There wasn't, and when I was sure things were okay out there, I got my hamburger-squeeker and played with it for awhile. I always sit under the coffee table when chewing on my squeeker toys. After hamburger playtime, I went into my Sissy's room to see what she was doing. She always has loud music playing and I don't like that very much, so I don't usually stay in there very long.
So, that was basically my day....except of course, for the usual walkies outside for poops and peeps!

in there.....I don't think this flower is real though,

I don't smell anything!

I really do not like this loud music in here.

have NEON GREEN walls in here!! AND, there

is splatter paint of yellow, blue, pink, and black

on top of that!!! What was Momma thinking

when she allowed Sissy to do that?!?!?!

While on my walk with Momma yesterday.....I found this very interesting thing. Can you tell what it is?? I had fun trying to figure it out.

I saw this white thing and just had
to stop and sniff it.

HUmmmm, what IS IT?? That water
hose looks like a snake, but it did
not scare me!

Awwww, it is a baby bird egg that must have

fallen out of a tree!!! Awwww, poor, poor

baby bird.

Today, Momma and Sissy did not come home for lunch like yesterday; but that

was okay, cuz I was tired and wanted to sleep all day. Sissy was excited about going to school today (usually she isn't). She is in a club called Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and they were going to a meeting out of town today....and would not have school ALL DAY. After the meeting, they went to the mall and got to shop (one of MY favorite things to do too). Anyway, she posted some of her pictures on my blog...I hope y'all don't mind....I told her it was okay.

Momma decided to take some photos of me outside on our walk this evening....so here they are!

I like to sit on this chair thingy that is on our front porch.

I call this the "wish bone" tree and

it is one of my favorite places to

leave my scent.

I found a hole that had been dug

under this fence and smelled something

very interesting there! Momma had

to pull me with the leash to keep me

from going under!

I ALWAYS tinkle on our air conditioner unit; I

don't know why.

I like to sit in the clover. I can't believe there

was so much of it....unusual for February!

Then....clouds started moving in;

Momma said some severe storms are

on the way for tonight....yikes!

These clouds look pretty serious.

When my Sissy shopped today, she went to

Old Navy and Abercrombie and Fitch...her

favorite stores.

They don't sell doggie

clothes though.....so I shop at Butchy and Snickers!

Tuesday surprises! YAY

Helloowwww every doggie! I am so excited tonight! Momma told me
that she is going to order some new clothes for me from Ms. Linda,
(Butchy & Snickers Hooman Mom). I really can't wait to get them.
Today was such a nice day for me. I got a surprise at lunch time....my
Momma and Sissy came home for lunch!! They hardly ever come home
for lunch from work and school. But they did today....and they even took
me outside for a short walk! It was GREAT, because is was sunny.....warm...
and not too windy. But, I was sad when they left so quickly...but got happy
again later when they came home for the day!!

Today, I heard my Sissy talking to Momma about needing to go back to Fort Smith to buy a Chi.....I thought "a Chihuahua...I don't think so!"
I am an only dog and I want to stay an only dog!!
I was kind of worried until I found out it is something that she uses
to make her hair straight. Gee, I hope she does not try to use that
thing on ME!
Anyway, I begged Momma to take me to the Bark Park again, since
we were going to be in Fort Smith anyway.....and guess what?? It
worked!!! She took me again and I had a very good time. There were a lot
more dogs there this time and some were even swimming in the pond!
I thought it was too cold, but they seemed to be loving it. I just wish the
park was closer to where I live so we could go more often. Anyway....so,
here is my post for tonight.

Momma? Can we please go back to the Dog Park??

What a B I G D O G!!! His Daddy said he

like it is coming out of my head.

Fun at the Park and beyond!

My Momma and Sissy are brilliant....just brilliant, I tell you. In anticipation of the Saturday rainstorms, they took me to the dog park on FRIDAY!! As soon as Momma got off work, she and Sissy loaded me up in the Jeep and off we went.

"DRIVE FASTER SISSY", I screamed! (actually, he was yawning and I can't believe I got this shot-Cyn)

The anticipation is killing me!!

Dreaming of the dog park

Another beautiful day here! I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday cuz Momma and Sissy will get to be with me all weekend. I am hoping maybe they will take me to the new dog park in Fort Smith!! I think it is suppose to be really nice and I would love to play with some other doggies. Although, I did hear Momma say something to Sissy about a chance of rain Saturday....so, we will see.

Meanwhile, you can look at the new pictures she took of me this morning! That pillow is one of my favorite places to relax.

WOW, it has been too long since my last post. I should not let that happen again.

Well, my Vet visit (to have my teeth cleaned) went well and I now have pearly whites! Unfortunately, Doc had to pull two teeth due to decay! But, I sure do feel better! (and Momma says my breath is so sweet and fresh now).

The weather here has been so NICE. For the last few days, the highs have been in the 70's!!! It is just like Spring and I have been loving it. Momma likes to open the windows during weather like this...and I like to sit in the window sill and peer out at the birds and all the outdoor activity. Momma thinks it is cute and snapped these photos.

A Surprise

We got more snow last night! You can see that it was not much, but enough to cover my Sissy's Mustang. What a surprise...and Sissy won't have to go to school today either because the schools are closed. She was sure happy about that. I really don't care one way or the other....I don't like to play in the snow....this morning, I went outside to do my business and came right back in and ate my breakfast. I am happy that Sissy will be home all day with me; what a nice surprise for the day after Valentine's Day.

What a nice day it was today! The rain finally stopped and the sunshine came out!AND, I received a Valentine's Day card from my family! They love me so much. :o)

There are some new photos posted here of me wearing my new velour hoodie...although, it is kind of hard to see it since it is almost the SAME exact color as ME! Momma is going to have to get some of those re-chargeable, digital camera batteries....cuz she is going through those other kinds faster than a speeding poodle chasing a rabbit!! I hope everyone had a rebarkable Valentine's Day!

P.S. I was not able to go to my Vet appointment on Tuesday (for my teeth cleaning)

because Momma forgot to take my food and water away after midnight the night before....and I might have gotten really sick if I had gone. So, I am rescheduled for next Tuesday. :o( I am not looking forward to it.

Well....it rained all right....BOY DID IT RAIN! It also thundered....and I just do
not like those thunder-boomers at all! But, I was sure glad to have a nice, warm,
safe home to be in....and a nice big bed to hide under! Not like the "old days" when
I was tied outside all the time (where I lived before I was rescued).
I absolutely refuse to go outside when it is raining...even if I have to go potty
really badly. If it is only sprinkling, I will go outside and go potty really fast; but
if it is POURING DOWN like it has been since yesterday.....I just won't go out. I
am glad that Momma understands my fear, because during times like that, I
sometimes have inside "accidents". :o(
My Sissy had company over the weekend...her best friend named Kayla. Kayla
loves me too and is always giving me hugs and kisses. They stayed up late and made
these silly photos of themselves. They are suppose to be "life-size dolls". My Momma
thinks the photos are funny....I think they are cute.

Mysterious Snow Balls

Well, I heard Momma and Sissy talking....and apparently, we are going to be

getting a lot of rain and thunderstorms this week. Yuk. I do not like the rain

at all.

Something weird happened last night. I heard a noise at my front door and

began barking like crazy....Momma got up and looked out the front window,

but apparently did not see anything. Sissy came downstairs to see what I was

barking at too. Finally, Momma opened the door, but nobody was there. However,

there was two giant snowballs on the rug in front of the door! We have not had

any more snow since the last one two weeks ago....weird. I went out and began

sniffing around and checking out those snowballs, but found nothing. Momma

just kicked them out into the flower bed. Momma and

Sissy don't know where they came from because there is no more snow left from our

last snowfall. So weird.

Poodle Stance!!

I KNOW NOT to chew on Sissy's shoe...only my toys!

Well, Momma and Sissy took me to "Doc Doc Moon" today. I really do not like going there! Doc Moon gave me a good check up and everything was fine....except....I have bad tartar build-up on my teeth! He said that is why I have stinky breath. Momma was so happy to find out the reason behind my halitosis!! So, they made an appointment for me to come back next Tuesday to have my teeth cleaned properly and all that yuckie tartar removed. I came home with a bottle of yukie stuff (mom says it is Clindacure antibiotics) and she had to give it to me with a syringe. I heard Doc Moon say I have to have it twice a day until my teeth cleaning appointment. Doc Moon told Momma that he is going to a Vet Conference (I guess that is like a party for doggie doctors) this weekend ...and he was going to learn about a new medicinal product for doggie halitosis. He said it would prevent the bacteria that causes tartar! Wouldn't that be nice!?

Anyway, here are some photos of me playing....that Momma took tonight. She played with me a lot and gave me loads of lovin' since I did so good at the Doc's.

Bump on the head

Oh my....I was playing tug of war with my Momma last night...we always play that game and I love it. But, last night was different. I was under the coffee table pulling and my Momma was lying on the floor in front of the couch pulling. Suddenly I had an itch, and I let go and my Momma fell back into the couch. We have two couches, and this one has a wooden frame and her head hit the wooden frame!! OUCH. She rolled over and was holding the back of her head and was not moving; I came over to her to find out what was going on and began trying to stick my nose in between her arms and her head. She pushed me back a little and told me "no". I felt something was wrong, so I went back under the coffee table. Just then my Sissy came into the living room and asked what was wrong. Momma told her what happened and Sissy touched her head and screamed, "oh my gosh there is a huge knot on your head". Poor Momma! Sissy got her an ice pack and put it on her head. I felt so bad, and stayed under the coffee table; but Momma got up off the floor and sat in our favorite chair and called me to sit in her lap. I jumped right up immediately and began kissing her, but she still did not feel like kisses. So, she patted me and told me it was all right and not my fault. That made me feel better.

This morning, she is doing a lot better and the knot is almost gone. whew!

I slept so good last night, I don't think I woke up even once. Momma has a down comforter on her bed (where I sleep) and I always snuggle underneath it and sleep at her feet. It is so warm and cozy, I just love it.

It was much warmer today; I heard Momma talking about it being around 60degrees.
Wow.
That sure is better than 20 degrees.
Momma took me outside and we played...on my what fun. I love going outside when

My Sissy is feeling better too and she went to school today.
I think I heard Sissy mention "doc doc Moon" today....that is my Vet

wondering if it is time for me to go again. :(

My Momma and Sissy say that I have it.
Who me?!?!?! Gosh, Momma brushes my teeth and everything; I don't
know what else to do. HELP

My Sissy is sick

Momma came home early today.....I was so excited, until I saw that

Sissy was with her. Sissy never comes home from school early. She is
sick today with the tummy flu. Momma came home from work early

and is taking care of her and I have tried to give her lots of love with

slobbery kisses, but she does not like it today. I wish she felt better so

we could play, but Sissy fell asleep and Momma played with me a lot.

She even took some new photos of me resting in my favorite chair.

My story begins

Hello. My name is Jasper and I am an 8 year old rescued toy poodle. My family consists of my human Momma, {Cynthia} and my human Sissy, {Tessia}. We live in NW Arkansas, and this is my story (as much as my Momma knows).
Up until my Momma found me, I was living in a home in Texas where my family did not care very well for me. They always left me outside, even in the freezing cold, and did not provide a house for me. I was kept chained up all the time. I never received any love and attention. I was so sad all the time.
Finally, someone came to the house and took me away. I lived for a short while in the "pound" before I was rescued by a Poodle Rescue organization in North Arkansas. My rescuers placed my "personal ad" on the Pet Finders web site and that is when my Momma saw me for the very first time. As soon as she saw me, she made the call. She and sissy drove 86 miles to pick me up. It was love at first site.
I had a name then, but I did not like it at all...... Fats. I suppose I was named after Fats Domino, I don't know. Sissy and Momma talked all during the drive home trying to figure out a new name for me and they could not agree on anything. Until finally, they stopped in a little sightseeing town on the way home. They were going to take turns going into a gift shop....one going in while the other held me on my leash outside....but the saleslady said it was okay to bring me in. My Momma hesitated (after all, she did not know me very well), but decided it would be okay. So, we went in and I was VERY GOOD. Everytime my Momma and Sissy would stop to look at something, I would stop and sit at their feet and not move a muscle. They were very impressed. The saleslady was too. So, that is how I got my name....the name of the little town where they stopped was Jasper, Arkansas.
This photo of me was taken right after Momma and Sissy got me home. As you can see, I was very happy to have them as my new family.
As you can see in the photo below, I love to sit in my Momma's lap while she reads other poodle blogs.
